Asian Blockchain Week is Coming

The conference named Asian Blockchain Week will be hosted by Singapore from 27 November to 1 December 2018.. The Blockshow team met with Thomas Lee during the BlockShow Americas in Las Vegas and explained why he believes Bitcoin will have a good year next year and an economic prospect soon. He asked if he expected a crisis.

BlockShow: Which crypto currency do you think will be the most profitable next year? Is it one of the well-known cryptos or do you expect new players to take over the market?

Thomas Lee: This is always hard to predict, but the coin with the most growth in active users or I’m sure there will be tokens. In the past year, the top performing cryptocoins (eg.. EOS, XLM, BTC and DOGE) have the best growth in active users. I expect Bitcoin to be at least one of the most profitable cryptocurrencies next year.

BlockShow: When will Bitcoin break out of this long-term bear trend?

Thomas Lee: Bitcoin is preparing for this exit. It found support for mining costs at $6,000, which is neither a profit nor a loss point.

BlockShow: J.P. What do you think of Morgan’s prediction, will the next major financial crisis hit the US economy by 2020? Do you agree?

Thomas Lee: It seems to me that a financial crisis will be inevitable, but the exact timing is quite uncertain.. There is greater pressure today and global central banks have less room to wiggle due to current low rates. However, I do not expect a crisis imminent.

BlockShow: Do you think the entire Asian region could be crypto-friendly in the future?

Thomas Lee: Asia is a region where I expect cryptos to thrive. There are a lot of young people and countries are technically savvy. Also, there are already extensive use cases for cryptocurrencies and digital platforms such as WeChat.

BlockShow: How do you think the events are impacting the blockchain industry?

Thomas Lee : Blockchain is dependent on community support, conferences and events also allow communities to come together.

BlockShow: What are your thoughts on USDT, the USD-indexed stablecoin? What are your expectations?

Thomas Lee: I am comfortable that USDT is backed by US dollars and I have confidence in the Tether team.

BlockShow: What are your expectations from stablecoins?

Thomas Lee: Stablecoin is a new idea and I hope it will be successful.
